MARLOW DE MARDT

"More quality and less quantity is what shapes our successful business model"

DO Productions, the can do philosophy is what distinguishes company owner Marlow de Mardt from other entities. Marlow has developed a unique signature as a professional, insightful and committed producer. Marlow selects projects carefully based on passion for the project. Once identified, she interprets the filming needs, identify values, understands cost controls and applies out-the-box thinking to provide partners with exceptional screen value, and in many cases, red carpet experiences. Marlow’s reputation has escalated internationally, and her engagement on Scandinavian films like “Karsten & Petra”, “The Salvation”, Marius Holst’s “Congo Murders” and “Atlantic Crossing”, has propelled her into the global market. Marlow is currently producing for Cinenord on the prestigious Scandinavian series filmed on location in Prague and Norway.
Marlow was one of the original founders of International “Woman in Film” chapter in South Africa and a recipient of the International ‘Crystal Award’. Aside from her mentoring, Marlow has been a judge on numerous panels, including the Emmy International Awards juror in NYC.
The past two decades have seen Marlow as a South African producer on numerous co-productions with The Netherlands, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Norway and Sweden – utilising the lucrative production incentives and other soft funding available in South Africa to enhance the production of these projects and compliment the financial and creative build of each film.

Marlow is currently in development on an exciting range of several European projects ranging from novel adaptations to pure fiction all for theatrical release.
Marlow has proved to be a passionate, fastidious and dedicated film producer with over 20 years of experience who is highly respected by her peers as having helped shape the South African film industry.
